Savor Saint Louis Food Tours Helping Others in our Community
Thanks to Savor Saint Louis Food Tours, Operation Food Search is receiving additional funding to help fight hunger in the region. Savor Saint Louis Food Tours celebrated its newest walking food tour in downtown St. Louis and five years of business by giving back to the community. Savor Saint Louis Food Tours donated 15 percent from each food tour taken during the month of October, which has amounted to nearly $600.
“We are so grateful to Savor Saint Louis Food Tours for their generosity,” Steve Baer, finance associate, Operation Food Search said. “This contribution will help feed more than 20 families for an entire week and provide a cooking demonstration for ten children and their parents. One hungry child is one too many, and we thank Savor Saint Louis Food Tours and the staff for being important advocates and partners of Operation Food Search.”
“We love St. Louis and showing it off by sharing its rich history and great food it has to offer,” said Jennifer Schmid, co-owner of Savor Saint Louis Food Tours. “We’re celebrating our newest walking food tour and being in operation for five years, so we decided to donate to a local food-related nonprofit. We chose Operation Food Search since it not only helps people in our community receive needed food, they also help with nutritional education and cooking classes.”
